Oh I used to adore her. She was just so funny and cute and honest. I wasn’t one of those fans who were like “SHE LIKES PIZZA, SHE’S ONE OF US” It was just nice and refreshing to see someone so nice and not confined to a specific script. But her fans are kind of annoying in idolizing her “normalness”
Then I was kind of turned off by some transphobic comments that she has made. While they were inappropriate, I think the backlash that she has received on tumblr was a bit too harsh. I’m not going to say “oh she just doesn’t know any better, guys” because ignorance is still problematic but at the same time, look at her lifestyle. I hardly doubt she has time to sit down and educate herself on being politically correct and have a sociology lesson or two. I’m not trying to excuse her actions but let’s face it, without access to education it’s extremely hard to be politically correct and know why certain comments are problematic. JLaw only has a high school degree. Even though I belong to quite a few subordinate groups I was still pretty ignorant myself about certain things until my second year in uni where I started taking social science classes and reading up on my own. So yes, she can come across as an idiot and a privileged white girl but I can’t hold that against her, I don’t think it automatically makes her a bad person.
Otherwise, I find her to be a pretty great actress, I think she deserves all the recognition that she gets, acting wise. And she has great boobs lol.
Shout out to my Native Americans for still prospering on land that was yours regardless of white people trying to kill you off, relegate you to small pieces of land, and encouraging drastic physical and sexual violence in your communities while still having the nerve to run with a holiday about how they’re thankful you didn’t just leave their asses to die when they got here.
Went to a fancy ass restaurant with my parents for thanksgiving
And it was so fancy that my sociologist inner-self was extremely unhappy and I kept thinking about social stratification and capitalism
And I apologized to our waitress that she had to work this evening rather than spend time with her family and she MELTED
Now I actually know what people mean when they say “eye-sex” cause for the rest of the evening there was plenty of it between us. She made so much sultry eye-contact, it almost made me uncomfortable
Even my stepdad noticed and winked at me
Like damn, if acknowledging the evils of capitalism will get me so far with the ladies then bring it on
She was hella fine too, tho probably 4-5 years older
